Explanation of Step-by-Step Plan: The best decision for children
According to the Committee on the Rights of the Child, a well-founded decision requires a child-friendly, full investigation. This should be followed by carefully considering what is best for the child and what other interests are at stake. In doing so, you should always take into account what is important to the child and treat children equally.
The developmental interest of the child is paramount in the decision and children should not be discriminated against. Children should be able to give their own opinion about what they find important. Your research and considerations then lead to a decision.
As a professional, how do I use these steps in my work?
